OBJECTIVES

 

development of SMA 3D and 2D structures (wires, tubes, plates) from TixNiyNb1-x-y alloys deposited with organic and inorganic biocompatible thin films in order to demonstrate the memory shape effect, for use in biomedical applications.

investigation of these alloy before and after surface deposition organic and inorganic coatings by elemental and phase composition, mechanical properties, wear and corrosion resistance and shape memory effect;

modeling and simulation of the new materials properties, in order to make a correct choice of the material from which the parts will be made and to optimize the geometry of involved parts for reduced costs and increased performance.
